What Makes YouTube A Better Website Over TikTok?

Image
Hello, everyone! In this week’s post, I will be discussing the differences between a good and a bad website. The two websites that I will determine are YouTube and TikTok. First, I will consider what makes a good website. The first aspect of a good website is visual web design. A good website will almost always have an aesthetically pleasing design or build that is appealing to the eye. The second aspect of a good website is technical website design. To have a good website is to have clean navigation, fast loading times, and a responsive design. The third aspect of a good website is website tools. Website Tools is something that enhances a website and offers a plethora of tools that make using the website more compelling to use.  Now, I will illustrate what makes YouTube a better website than TikTok. The first aspect that makes YouTube a better website than TikTok is its visual web design. YouTube has many appealing features that compete against TikTok. YouTube offers a neat grid v...

Chapter Seven

Image
This blog post will discuss the content of Chapter Seven in The Connected Educator by Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach. I will discuss the most significant elements of information I found informative, and how I can tie it to my future career as an Educator. The first topic addressed in this chapter is how to sustain a virtual learning community. Maintaining a virtual learning community is not easy. There has to be strong implementation to keep one afloat. Another word the chapter emphasizes is momentum. To keep a virtual learning community alive and well is through the momentum created. It is crucial to keep the momentum going so that the community stays thriving. If it is neglected then nothing good will come out of it. Virtual learning communities are simply as important to take care of as physical education. You have to be generative in your virtual learning community. This involves taking opportunities to redesign and develop your community to allow it to grow and flourish. Being present an...

Chapter Four

Image
This blog post will discuss the content of Chapter Four in The Connected Educator by Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach. This chapter discusses the importance of the role of shared ideals and collaboration. There are countless benefits of educator collaboration. The book states, “Educators make education meaningful and relevant for themselves and their students by co-creating learning and sharing. By collaborating, connected educators shift the existing school culture and self-actualize at the same time” (pg. 58). New ideas and collaborations keep things fresh for educators and students. With the change, a more influential factor will be within the classroom. However, in order for educators to have effective change, there needs to be a strong educational relationship between educators, especially collaborative educators.  When there is a strong and consistent relationship between educators, it makes collaboration and shared ideals much more effective. There are two relationships that edu...

Chapter Five

Image
Hello, all! Today I will be discussing the content of Chapter Five in The Connected Educator by Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach. In this blog post, I will discuss the important aspects of chapter five and how it relates to my future career as an educator. One of the most important topics of this chapter is how significant it is to incorporate technology in education. The main purpose of this is to show how technology benefits classrooms and educators. There are many benefits to technology in the classroom. Some of the benefits include student collaboration, student growth, teacher collaboration, etc. Having technology in the classroom will not only benefit students but teachers as well. When technology is used in classrooms, it not only elevates the learning experience but creates an effective learning environment. Teachers can use technology to connect with students, peers, co-workers, and other teachers. A wonderful way to connect with other teachers is through groups. There are thousands of ...
