What Makes YouTube A Better Website Over TikTok?

Hello, everyone! In this week’s post, I will be discussing the differences between a good and a bad website. The two websites that I will determine are YouTube and TikTok. First, I will consider what makes a good website. The first aspect of a good website is visual web design. A good website will almost always have an aesthetically pleasing design or build that is appealing to the eye. The second aspect of a good website is technical website design. To have a good website is to have clean navigation, fast loading times, and a responsive design. The third aspect of a good website is website tools. Website Tools is something that enhances a website and offers a plethora of tools that make using the website more compelling to use. 

Now, I will illustrate what makes YouTube a better website than TikTok. The first aspect that makes YouTube a better website than TikTok is its visual web design. YouTube has many appealing features that compete against TikTok. YouTube offers a neat grid view of each video, a precise sidebar to access the different elements of the website, unique thumbnails for each video, and dark mode. In contrast, TikTok offers a list view that only allows you to see one video at a time, a significantly limited sidebar, and no thumbnails on the home page. The second aspect that makes YouTube better than TikTok is its technical web design. YouTube offers precise navigation with its ample sidebar, quicker loading times, and a better-quality response design. TikTok does not deliver a navigation system due to its inflexible design, it often has downtime due to bugs and defects, and the responsive design is inadequate because the website lacks a proper website structure as it has a heavily mobile focus. The third and final aspect that makes YouTube a better website than TikTok is the website tools. YouTube delivers a variety of tools that make the website easy to use. It offers a complete editing studio for creators and easy-to-use tools for viewers. TikTok does not offer a studio for editing videos, only a mere screen with limited editing capabilities. TikTok also lacks tools for viewing videos which can make it difficult and bothersome to use the website. 



In all, YouTube is the better choice of website than TikTok because it exhibits more eminent aspects, structure, and functionality throughout the website.
